By the time the original cast ofHarry Pottermoved to the final two inclusions of the iconic saga, they were starting to get fatigued by the exhausting process of crafting these movies. But according to Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint, the most exhausting period of their time inTheHarry Potter Sagaarrived during crafting the last two entries in the franchise.

Considering the overwhelming amount of content in the last book, the story was divided into two parts for the big screen. But despite the tiring times, the trio felt that the exhaustion helped in perfecting their performances.

The exhausting process helped their performance inDeathly HallowsPart 1 and 2
Although for the first few entries in the franchise, they couldn’t work long hours in the movies due to child labor laws, after turning 16, their working hours forHarry Pottermovies witnessed an increase. Even thoughRupert Grintexplained that their working hours varied from mostly 9 hours and five days a week, it wasn’t the case for most of the filming ofDeathly Hallowsparts 1 and 2. Considering the substantial amount of content they were dealing with, the actors often worked crazy hours from sometimes 4 in the morning and were involved in several night shoots.
However,Emma Watsonand Rupert Grint felt that the exhausting process helped with their performances, considering they were meant to be exhausted at this point in the story. Grint explained,

“I think it helps because you’re supposed to be exhausted anyway. It kind of benefits it from being tired all the time, but it does take your life over.”
Although theNoahstar did agree that being exhausted did help them with their performances for the last two entries, however, there were times when the conditions were just too much to handle.

Emma Watson once broke down from the overwhelming exhaustion of filming
Despite giving her best for most of the production, the exhausting process did get the better of her in certain moments. Considering they were shooting in the cold weather of Scotland, being wet for some of her scenes didn’t help, as theNoahstar revealed that she once broke down into tears because of the overwhelming process. She explained,
“There were days when I was in tears to David (Yates, director). Cause more than anything being cold and wet all the time just takes so much energy out of you, it’s so draining. And trying to give a good performance when you just are miserable, and want to go to sleep.”

But despite the exhaustion and whooping 263 days of filming, the trio overcame the difficulties and crafted the perfect conclusion for the iconic franchise.
