OldTerminatorfilms were loved by the fans as it was the go-to action-sci-fi movies for them. The film starred Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role as the Terminator. Chan has always been praised for his fighting styles in movies, all thanks to his training lessons in martial arts and acrobatics. He also likes teaching people various styles.
But in Hollywood, it isn’t the case as he is one getting taught, which doesn’t sits well with him. In a past interview with Bright Lights, TheShanghai Noonactor opened up on how some films are known by their director or elements, and how none of the audience remembers the main cast.

“Even if I do a film with geniuses like George Lucas or Steven Spielberg, no way will I be famous in America. Look at Jurassic Park. Few people know the names of the main actors; they remember the dinosaurs and that it was a Spielberg film. Take Terminator 2. The director’s good; the special effects are good; Schwarzenegger is nothing. Anyone could have played his part.”

The Terminatorwas helmed by the famousTitanicdirector James Cameron. The film earned a total box office record of $78.3M globally and $38.3M in the US market.

For an actor likeJackie Chan, he has always looked up to Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks. In one of his interviews, he even confessed that he wants an audience like the two Tom’s.
“I want to have one audience like Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks. They have only one audience because from the beginning Asian fans know them. But for me, they know I am action, Hong Kong style. But less fighting, more action, all English they are not ready for it.”

Tom Cruise will appear in his upcoming filmMission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One. The film will debut in theatres on July 14th, 2023.
