AfterDwayne Johnsonallegedly lied onThe Joe Rogan Experiencepodcast about how he nearly walked away from pro wrestling and joined Pride MMA. People started to condemn that People’s Champ as he won his first title within a year after his debut in 1996.
However, Michael Bisping, came to the rescue of Johnson, as he said on his officialYouTubechannel, how the wrestler could have been absolutely fine as a MMA fighter.

“Okay, now listen, somebody like Dwayne Johnson, big guy, granted wasn’t a wrestler, didn’t wrestle at school or college or anything like that, wasn’t a martial artist, was a football player but somebody like that could have made a big splash in Pride. They loved big massive muscular freak shows, I mean look at Bob Sap. Bob Sap was not a martial artist but he was a gigantic draw in Pride.”
The veteran MMA fighter added that the 10-time WWE Champion would’ve been fine as Pride MMA“openly encourage”the use of performance-enhancing drugs.

“And let’s be honest in Pride, they openly encourage the use of performance-enhancing drugs so Dwayne Johnson would have been fine.”

When Dwayne Johnson was onThe Joe Rogan Experiencepodcast,he allegedly lied on the show as he thought of leaving WWE in 1997, as MMA athletes were joining Pride MMA as it helped them earn big bags of money, while he earned only $150, 000 per year in WWE.
“In ’97, during that time, while I was still going out to L.A. and working out, we were crossing all the MMA guys. Pride just opened up in Japan so I was seeing all these MMA guys going over to Pride. … At that time I was making $150,000 wrestling 235 days a year. So do the math of that and how much you’re making per match. We start hearing, hey these guys over in pride are making 250, 350, 500 [thousand dollars].”
Fans and actors believe that the actor is allegedly lying on the podcast, as he became one of the prominent faces of the wrestling organization. TheHerculesactor is heavily criticized, as fans state that he is trying to gain sympathy and attention from the people.
