Henry Cavill’s character August Walker introduced inMission Impossible: Falloutwas undoubtedly one of the best characters ever that the franchise had given us. Even though he was not among the good guys in the movie, his charismatic aura made the audience root for the character. Even the Ethan Hunt fame Tom Cruise who spearheads the franchise claimed that he was jealous of Cavill. He said this primarily in the reference to that iconic bathroom fight scene which is still etched in the minds of the fans.

Tom Cruise got amazed by Henry Cavill
During an interview with BBC Radio 1, theTop Gunactor spoke about how all of the crew on the set including him were amazed byHenry Cavill’sperformance inFallout. The actor especially acknowledged the scene when theMan of Steelactor approaches Ethan Hunt and we could watch his full beard.Tom Cruisewent on to describe that the scene even made him jealous and made him think, that it would be awesome if he could also do that:
“The editing room were going, ‘How did you do that, Henry?’ OK, he is so talented that he can do that. I remember the time I saw the take and he did that, I was like, ‘This is awesome! This is amazing.’ I wish I could grow a beard like that. I was like, ‘That happened,”

He further added that no matter how he watches that scene, every time it comes, he gets baffled by that shot:
“But, you had to play it back, and you could play it back in slow motion and I still can’t figure it out. It is the wildest thing,”

Now it can’t be denied that the character of August Walker has been a fan favorite since his first glimpse on-screen but sadly the ending of the movie killed him and thus Henry Cavill’s Mission Impossible journey got limited to only a single project. But as the concluding projects in theMission Impossibleseries are slated to be released in the upcoming couple of years, it is speculated that our belovedWitcheractor may return.

Will Henry Cavill return to the Mission Impossible Universe?
As the concluding movies of the series titledMission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1andDead Reckoning Part 2are slated to release in 2023 and 2024, a bunch of fan theories and rumors are coming by. In a recent interview, the director of the movieChristopher McQuarrie hinted at a major character fromFalloutto be returninginMission Impossible 8.
The director refused to share any more details, but the fans are in speculations that this mysterious character can be Henry Cavill’s, August Walker. Although August Walker got a very painful death at the end ofMission Impossible 6, there is always scope for flashback sequences that can prove that it was he all along behind some major planning to eliminate Ethan Hunt.

According to the reports, the upcoming installments in the franchise are going toprovide us with some breathtaking action sequences, and these two movies reportedly also being the final appearance of Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt has ignited sparks of excitement among the fans. Now it will be interesting to find out if Tom Cruise can recreate theTop Gun: Maverickbox office scenario with these MI movies.
