The movieTriple Frontierwas an action-adventure film directed by J. C. Chandor and was released in 2019. The screenplay was written by Chandor and Mark Boal and is based on a story by Boal. The film featured Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund, and Pedro Pascal as leads. The movie was released on the OTT platform and watched in large numbers by the audience.
The leads Affleck andOscar Isaacgave excellent performances in the film. However, the film would have been completely different if it starred Tom Hardy andChanning Tatum.

Tom Hardy and Channing Tatum refused to work inBen Affleck’sTriple Frontier
As per the reports, the film was originally supposed to be directed by Kathryn Bigelow. He had planned to cast Tom Hanks and Will Smith. However, Bigelow decided to leave the project, and J.C. Chandor stepped in. He brought the actorsTom Hardy, Channing Tatum, and Mahershala Ali on board.
The project was about to start shooting, however, a month before the shoot, the project lost Tom Hardy, Channing Tatum, and Paramount.
As per reports by Empire,
“Chandor had re-written the script in a way that the main duo didn’t particularly love, and despite requests for more changes, they’ve decided to leave. And that led Paramount, which has been going through a leadership transition, to drop the plan to make the movie.”
Tom Hardy got busy with Christopher Nolan’sDunkirkand Channing Tatum was seen working with Taron Egerton in Matthew Vaughn’s film,Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

Triple Frontierinitially looks like just another movie, which is about reuniting the old gang. In the movie, Oscar Isaac was seen working with a South American government on drug busts. He suddenly comes up with a bright idea to rob the leading drug lord of the area. To execute the plan he recruits his old military palsBen Affleck, Pedro Pascal, Garrett Hedlund, and Charlie Hunnam. Together, the team ventured south for a rejoining in Brazil. Most of the part of the film is spent on their friendships instead of the buildup to the mission or the robbery. It shows a group of men carrying a massive amount of money in the jungle.
In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicefame Ben Affleck played the role of Tom Davis or Redfly.X-Men: Apocalypsefame Oscar Isaac was Santiago Garcia or Pope.
The film was made with a budget of $115 million and was highly appreciated by the audiences.
