Call of Duty Warzone released its first-ever objective-based game mode in Season Four Reloaded with Payload. Here’s all the tips and tricks to know before dropping in for your first game.
In this game mode, there are two teams of 20 that are battling to escort the payload to the end or trying to stop the payload from moving.
The game is a best-of-three rounds, you earn a round win if you successfully push both payloads across the map or stop the payloads from reaching the end. After attacking or defending, teams will switch sides for round two.
If the score is still tied up after two rounds the game will go into overtime and teams will play one more round.

With payload being a longer game mode with more gunfights and more like a Multiplayer mode, you’ll want to run a different loadout than usual in Verdansk.
Any combination of an AR and SMG is viable but if you want to play a little further back, then using a sniper rifle like the Swiss K31 is bound to give you some additional kills and continue on with the objective. Here are some of the best weapons that you’ll want to equip while playing this mode.
As this mode is similar to Multiplayer, grenades and stuns are being tossed around nearly every engagement. Being able to withstand the fire power of a grenade or reduce the length of a stun could result in higher kill games and keep the objective moving.
Field Upgrade
While attacking, it is good to keep a Trophy System on the payload to prevent grenades, stuns, flashes and more from coming your way while escorting the payload.
While defending, you can sneak up on the payload and take down enemies with Dead Silence without them realizing what is happening.

Best attacking strategies in Warzone’s Payload
When you’re on the attack in payload things are pretty simple: get kills and keep the objective moving. If you want to take it to the next step then here’s what you’re going to want to do.
you may activate recon contacts that require you to stand near a device for some time and rewards you with killstreaks and cash to spend at buy stations.
The buy stations can provide you with ammo, armor plates, or killstreaks to help make the push a lot easier.
Best defending strategies in Warzone’s Payload
If you’re on the defending side of things you’ll want to kill the enemies that are pushing the objective or simply get close enough to contest the payload and stop it from moving. If you’re a bit too far from the fight you can take other countermeasures to delay the attack.
One way of doing this is by finding red tool boxes on the ground. You can interact with these to build a blockade that the attacking team must destroy before continuing to push the payload.
Not only that, but you can spend your cash at buy stations to build towers that will give you higher elevation, turrets, and even explosive drones to send at the payload.
