2005 was a happening year for Brad Pitt, the actor ended his five-year-long marriage with actress Jennifer Aniston and started dating hisMr. & Mrs. Smith(2005) co-star Angelina Jolie. The highly-publicized divorce was finalized in October 2005.
Since then, the two celebrities have remained good friends and it seems like Aniston has moved on from the split. The situation was obviously tough for Aniston as Pitt fell in love with another woman while he was with her and immediately moved on from their split. Finally, Brad Pitt was clear about what he wanted. It was announced that Pitt and Aniston have separated in January 2005. In March of the same year, Aniston filed for a divorce and it was finalized in October.
Between all this, Pitt got closer to Jolie, to the point that the two decided to adopt two kids, Maddox and Zahara, in the summer of 2005. The two went on to welcome their first biological child, Shiloh, in 2006. Now, all of this was quite saddening for Jennifer Aniston, as the actress went through a messy split and her ex-partner moved on almost immediately.

Aniston once claimed that she knew Pitt was attracted to Jolie when they were together, adding that he has “a sensitivity chip that’s missing.” Some sources also claimed at the time that Aniston and Pitt’s relationship took a hit around the time Pitt worked inMr. & Mrs. Smith.Aniston doesn’t keep grudges, in 2014, she praised Jolie’s directorial job inUnbroken(2014),
“I mean, that movie is so beautiful and wonderful, and [Angelina Jolie] did such a gorgeous job.”
Unfortunately for Brad Pitt, his relationship with Jolie also came to an end in 2016 after an alleged assault took place on their private jet back in 2016. The two have been fighting several legal battles since then.
