Why Did Keanu Reeves Spare Kevin Nash InJohn Wick?
John Wick’s reputation was to wipe off all his villains without hesitation, but he lets go of Kevin Nash’s bouncer though he was on the opposite team. Nash later in an interview at Big Texas ComicCon in 2019 explained that Keanu Reeves’ character let the bouncer go not because they were old friends but because the bouncer helped him in that particular scene.
The seemingly friendly exchange between the characters, where Francis mentions his weight loss, was actually them speaking in code language. John Wick indirectly asks the bouncer how many are there in the nightclub to which Francis replies over 60. Kevin Nash remarked that the weight loss reference doesn’t make logical sense as no person could lose 60 pounds of weight.
