Florence Pugh and Zach Braff’s relationship has always invited invasive scrutiny from people. Many rejoiced when the 27-year-old and 47-year-old actors announced the end of their romantic relationship. Yet, the two have maintained a professional partnership and are currently promoting their film,A Good Person,which Pugh starred in and produced while Braff directed and also produced it. During a recent Q&Asessionheld after a screening ofA Good Personin London, Zach Braff andFlorence Pughbared their hearts about the making of the movie. Pugh commented that Braff, who she was cohabiting with at that time, didn’t let her read any scenes of the script he was working on. TheBlack Widowactress said:
“I wasn’t allowed to read any of it. I wasn’t allowed to read any of the scenes as he was writing it and he’d come up from the office [having] locked himself in there for a few hours and then would just start telling me all the pieces that he had discovered and I really wasn’t allowed to read anything. And so I kind of got to know the script and I got to know the character through us discussing it over dinner.”

Pugh also added that her ex-boyfriend sprinkled in little of her mannerisms in the character of Allison in the film. As per the Hollywood star:
“He knows how I talk, he knows how I take the piss out of people and I think he just put that in his script and I was allowed to come and fill in where it was needed. But reading something that is dedicated for you written by someone who knows you so well is a wonderful gift.”
While the actors received plenty of scrutiny due to their large age gap, many also praised the two for remaining professional after their breakup. But to this day, many are curious about the reason behind their split.

Why Did Florence Pugh And Zach Braff Breakup?
During the September 2022 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Florence Pugh confirmed that she andZach Braffhad split up. As per the actress:
“We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on. We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that. I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it.”

During the same interview, Pugh also stated that makingA Good Personwas one of the best experiences of her life since it felt very easy and natural to work with Braff. The actress is currently rumored to be dating photographer Charlie Gooch.
